Fishtail (6993m/2nd highest of the Annapurna Range), as well as other stunning peaks like Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna II (7939m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525M), and Hiuchuli (6441 m).
The 10-day trek begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara - known as the "trekking capital" - where participants stay overnight before driving to Nayapul for the start of their journey on foot. Finally tracing back our path after completing our expedition we head back towards Pokhara for some relaxation time.
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a guide will be waiting to transfer you to the hotel. Once at the hotel, you can take some time to unwind and relax. You will stay overnight in Kathmandu.
After having breakfast, enjoy a full-day tour (6-7 hours) followed by a half-day tour (3-4 hours) around 3 pm to visit Soyambhu Nath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square, and Pashupatinath Temple. If time allows, you can also experience the beautiful evening Aarti. Then return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, we'll leave the hotel and head to Pokhara. Along the way, we'll drive through numerous farming villages and towns with stunning views of snow-capped peaks. Pokhara is renowned as the top valley on the southern side of the Himalayas, boasting three beautiful lakes - Phewa, Begnas, and Rupa. We will stay overnight in Pokhara.
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and then hike along the pathway, descending down the hill next to a river until we reach Birethanti, located at an elevation of 1,025m on the banks of the Modi River. Following this river, we will ascend to Syali Bazaar before continuing our walk on a gently winding path alongside the Modi River. After crossing another New Bridge, we will climb up to Jhinu Danda where you can also enjoy soaking in hot springs. We will spend the night in Jhinu Danda.
After having breakfast in Jhinu Danda, we will hike to Dovan which will take around 6 hours. Along the way, we will enjoy stunning views of Mt. Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South and Huinchuli. We'll trek uphill for some time until reaching a river, followed by a challenging ascent to the edge of the crest. Then it's a pleasant walk to Chomrong, a large Gurung village serving as the gateway to Annapurna Sanctuary. Descending towards a bridge and then ascending again to Sinawua Danda offers breathtaking panoramic views of nearby landscapes and snow-capped peaks. The path leads through charming forests filled with oaks, rhododendrons, and pines before descending into Bamboo—a small community surrounded by bamboo and rhododendron trees alongside the Modi River—where there are approximately five lodges nestled within wooded areas. Finally arriving at Dovan after gradually climbing through cool forest shadows concludes our day's journey.
After having breakfast in Dovan, we will begin the important days of the trek. This day involves a 6-hour walk to reach Annapurna Base Camp located at an elevation of 4,095m. The journey starts with a pleasant uphill climb for a few hours until we reach Hinko Cave. Then, our path leads us out of the wooded area and down to a small bridge before ascending briefly to Deurali. Following this, we will continue walking alongside the powerful Modi River until reaching Machhapuchhre base camp situated on the northern side of Mt. Machhapuchhre. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views that include Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, and Annapurna I. Typically used as an overnight stopover point, on our planned ABC 10-day trek we will push ahead gradually for about 4 hours more to finally arrive at Annapurna Base Camp which offers stunning vistas of nearby snow-capped peaks including the world's 10th highest peak - Annapurna I (8,091m), along with other magnificent sights like Annapurna South and Hiunchuli as well as Mount Machhapuchhre towering above. Lastly, you cannot afford missing out on witnessing the remarkable Annapurna glacier below. Overnight stay at camp.
After breakfast, we will trek to Sinwadanda at an altitude of 2,340m following our memorable time at Annapurna Base Camp. The journey will take around 6 hours and provide us with stunning panoramic views. We will traverse through a wooded area featuring bamboo and rhododendron trees known as Bamboo, before descending alongside the Modi River. After passing Bamboo, we'll ascend to Khuldi post and then proceed along a winding path through beautiful woodland until we reach Sinwa danda where we will spend the night.
After breakfast, we will depart from Sinwa Danda and trek for around six hours to reach Tolka. Situated at an altitude of 1700m, Tolka marks our destination for the day. Our journey kicks off with a descent to Chomrong River followed by a challenging ascent to upper Chomrong settlement where we'll break for lunch. Afterward, we'll push on towards the peak of Chomrong before reaching Nayapul. Traversing through the suspension bridge, we will make our way past farm terraces before finally reaching Tolka for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we will hike to Dhampus Phedi at an elevation of 1050m beyond Tolka. We will enjoy a pleasant walk upwards for about an hour until we reach the edge of Deurali, where there is a breathtaking panoramic view of snow-capped peaks and beautiful landscapes. From there, we will descend to Dhampus via Pothana, which offers stunning views of the Annapurna Himalayan range and Manaslu range as well as the prominent Mt. Machhapuchhre. A brief climb through a shaded area with abundant trees leads us to Dhampus village, which also rewards us with majestic views of the snowy peak range. Finally, our trek concludes as we descend to Phedi on the Baglung-Beni-Pokhara highway followed by a one-hour drive back to Pokhara for overnight stay.
After breakfast, we'll leave the hotel and drive back to Kathmandu. Then, we'll go to our hotel in Kathmandu where you can unwind or do some final shopping before spending the night there.
You'll enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing from Nepal. As your time in the Annapurna Himalayan region comes to an end, you will leave with cherished memories. Our representative will accompany you to the airport for your departure.
During the trek, you will come across charming Gurung and Magar settlements, traditional houses, terraced rice paddies, vibrant rhododendron forests, as well as high-altitude landscapes with stunning views of the Annapurna Range and other impressive mountains.
Here is a recommended list of items to pack for the hike. This can serve as a useful reference. During winter, you will need extra layers of clothing for warmth. In Kathmandu, you will be given a duffel bag at the pre-trip meeting which you can use for the trek. You can leave non-trekking items at the hotel or our office and collect them after the trek.
