If you are thinking about Everest, then it is sure that a very few have stood on Everest’s daunting summit. Yet, trekking to its flanks is an adventure of the highest sort that many can achieve. Now when you trek to the Ama Dablam base camp, you will be amazed with the view of Ama dablam itself as seen from the camp.After a plunge into the exotic bazaars of Kathmandu, we take a mountain flight to Lukla at 9,200 feet. Our first few days of trekking take us through all the major Sherpa villages—Namche Bazaar, Thame, Khumjung, and beautiful Tengboche Monastery—where we have a chance to meet the friendly people and soak up the colours, sights, and sounds of Sherpa village life.Next, we will take our trail forward to Ama Dablam Base Camp. We walk trails lined with beautiful mani stones and have a few rest days for acclimatization to help us in the days ahead. Then, we take the most direct hiking route to the stunning rocky outcrop of Kala Patar (18,192′), where we set our eyes on the awesome face of Everest, The Big One.Weather permitting, we’ll also visit Everest Base Camp, with its views of otherworldly 50-foot-tall seracs (the blocks of ice among the crevasses of the glacier).Since you are on Ama Dablam Base Camp trek located in the Everest Region we don’t want you to miss a trek to Everest base Camp. So it can also be taken as the combination of trek to the worlds Highest Mountain: Everest and trek to world’s most beautiful mountain: Ama Dablam.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, a representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your Hotel.
You can explore the beauty of Kathmandu Valley today. You can enjoy Street tours or visit temples and stupas of the valley.
35 minutes Flight to Lukla (2728m) and commence trek to Phakding (2640m) 3 hrs (B.L.D)
We’ll have breakfast in Phakding before gearing up for the trek to Namche Bazaar, the biggest Sherpa village in Nepal. Our trail takes us first over the Dudhkoshi River via a long suspension bridge and then through a beautiful pine forest to Monjo, about two hours away. Soon thereafter, we will approach the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park for a brief permit check and then descend to Dudh Kosi River (Spotting Mani stones along the way!) en route to Jorsale. Lunch will be served here, and then it’s uphill to Namche. Our path along the riverbank is flanked by two crossings, one of which is the Hillary Suspension Bridge. It’s a tough climb up the hill to our resting place, but you’ll be rewarded in Namche Bazaar with your first glimpse of Everest in its majesty.
At this point, we take a well-deserved break! Today will be spent resting and allowing our bodies to become acclimatized to the lofty altitude. There’s an optional 2-hour hike to Everest View Point, an uphill walk that will help speed acclimatization. Otherwise, spend the day exploring Namche Bazaar. Check out the Sherpa museum for an overview of the Sherpa culture and history of mountaineering. On Saturdays, the Hatt Bazaar is open for trading and an intimate look at the locals’ marketplace. It is part of the larger Namche Bazaar, a shopping hub filled with all manner of trekking and mountaineering clothing and equipment.
Breakfast in Namche Bazaar fuels us for another day of trekking towards Ama Dablam base Camp today! A short drop takes us to the riverside, then it’s across the river upwards through the forest pass. Brace your legs for a continual uphill trek at this point, alternating between a gradual grade and some seriously steep ground!
It can be considered to be the outsatanding trek among all, you will expereince the high valleys of Khumbu region and explore the villages and monasteries.It will take upto 4 to 5 Hours.
Today you will travel from Khumjung to Pangbuche. It will take upto 5 to 6 hours.
Today you will decide the journey to Ama Dablam Base Camp from Pangbuche. It will take you to the base of one of the most beautiful and popular Mt.Ama Dablam. And after enjoying the incredible beauty of base camp you will return back to Dingboche.
This is your chance to rest up before the last leg of our adventure! Today you can rest and prepare for next trek.
From here on forth, the trek will move more gradually be more challenging, due to the higher altitude. We’ll pass Dungla, but not before a tough, steep walk to the top of a high hill. Here are the memorial stupas dedicated to the climbers and trekkers who lost their lives to climbing Everest over the years. The next part of our adventure brings over craggy mountain terrain to Lobuche, a small settlement with amazing views of Mt. Lobuche, Mt. Pumari and the Nuptse. Prepare to snuggle up for a cold night, as we are now almost 3 miles / 4.8 kms above sea level and the evenings can be downright chilly!
This is it! Our big day kicks off with an initial, relatively easy trek from Lobuche to Gorekshep. The subsequent, straight trail to Everest Base Camp is harder, involving rocky dunes and moraine, formed accumulation of unconsolidated glacial debris. On the way to our destination, we’ll approach the famed Khumbu Glacier and icefall, located on the slopes of Everest. At the Base Camp, our goal, you’ll have the chance (during the spring climbing season) to meet climbers attempting to scale the mountain’s summit. Break out your cameras for unbelievable views of breathtaking beauty. As the afternoon sun starts to wane, we’ll head back to Gorekshep for some much-needed rest and relaxation after a gruelling and busy day.
Early morning-before sunrise visit to Kala Pattar (5545m) for the best panoramic view. Return back to Gorakshep and have breakfast. Then continue the trek down to Lobuche (4930m). 5hrs (B.L.D)
Today we transfer back to Namche Bazaar which wiil be covered with beautiful mountain vistas at each turn. You can enjoy the incredible beauty of nature at evry step you take. it can take upto 6hrs.
After 14 days of Ama Dablam base camp trekking , you will trek from Namche Bazzar to Lukla before flying to Kathmandu. You will collect the beautiful memories of vibing with nature.
Morning after breakfast 35 minutes fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel (B)
